Dunamis Celebrates

Event

Dunamis International Gospel Centre was established on the 10th of November 1996. The first Sunday service was held at Abuja Centre for Arts and Culture (First Floor) Area 10. Church service was held there for 2 weeks before the church moved to Abuja Sheraton Hotel & Towers, where worship took place for about 6 months.

The Church moved to its own worship arena in Area 1, beside the Old Federal Secretariat in June 1997, less than a year after the ministry started and the move of God was indeed awesome, confirming His Word with power, signs and wonders. And as laid out in Scripture, ‘as they praised God, the Lord added to their numbers daily those who were being saved.’

Very soon, it became clear that the Church building was too small to contain the teeming crowd that gathered for each service, as overflows in the church premises and also along the road characterized every service. It was therefore evident that a new structure that would be able to comfortably seat every worshipper was urgently needed.

By Divine leading, a location was found along the airport road and on September 14, 2014, the ground-breaking/foundation-laying ceremony of the new International Church structure took place, presided by Bishop David Oyedepo.

On November 24, 2018, the new International Church headquarters, known as the Glory Dome, a 100-000 capacity auditorium, was dedicated to the glory of God. God has indeed been faithful
